Universities in Sweden offer a range of different scholarship programmes for students across the globe to help cover tuition fees or living expenses. The scholarships vary between universities.
Following Swedish Universities offer Scholarships to International Students:
Blenkinge Institute of Technology
The scholarship programmes offered by the Blenkinge Institute of Technology are open for non-EU/EEA countries nationals who are obliged to shell out the tuition fees for studying at the Swedish higher education institutions. This scholarship programme covers tuition fees either partially or wholly.
University of Boras
The University of Boras waives the tuition fees either partially or wholly of the students who are even obliged to shell out the tuition fees and have applied for Masters Course of study at the University.
Chalmer’s University
The Chalmer University provide many scholarships to all the students including non-EU/EEA countries nationals. The scholarship provides a 75-100% reduction in tuition fees. There are some scholarship programmes that provide stipend to cover living expenses.
Dalarna University
The Dalarna University waives the tuition fees partly of all non-EU/EEA countries nationals. The scholarships have a value of about 25- 50 % of tuition fees for the entire duration of the degree programme.
Gothenburg University
The University of Gothenburg Scholarships are available for students who are obliged to shell out the tuition fees for their Masters Degree programme at the University. The scholarship awarded by the Gothenburg University covers the tuition fee.
Halmstad University
The Halmstad University provides numerous scholarships to excellent students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who have to pay tuition fee. These scholarships are awarded to students within any discipline and ranges from 25- 50% tuition fee reduction.
Karlstad University
The Karlstad University Global Scholarship programme is for students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are obliged to pay tuition fees. Scholarship programmes offered by the Karlstad University covers tuition fees partially or wholly.
Karolinska Institutet
The Karolinska Institutet offers scholarships that covers the tuition fee for studies at Master’s level only. Applicants are selected for the scholarships based on their CV and qualification.
Kristianstad University
The Kristianstad University provides many scholarships to excellent students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are required to pay the tuition fee. The scholarship programme covers the tuition fees partially or fully.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology
The KTH Royal Institute of Technology offers scholarships to applicants from non-EU/EEA/EFTA countries who have applied for a master’s course of study at KTH and are obliged to pay the tuition fees as well. The tuition fee is given up for the entire duration of the course which is either one year or two years.
Linnaeus University
The Linnaeus University provides scholarships to students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. Scholarships are given to students who are enrolled in a programme that is taught in English. The scholarships include a 75 percent decrease of the tuition fee for the full-time course of study.
Linkoping University
The Linkoping University provide scholarships to prospective students with outstanding academic results. Scholarships include a tuition fee waiver.
Lund University
The Lund University Global Scholarship Programme is for students who are nationals of countries from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland and have to shell out the tuition fee. The scholarships are provided for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programmes for at least one semester. Scholarships covers the tuition fee either partly or fully.
Malardalen University
The Malardalen University awards scholarships to students who have enrolled at a master’s programme at the University as their first or second option. The scholarship covers the entire tuition fee of the programme till the time you've received at least 22.5 credits per semester and at least 45 credits per academic year.
Malmo University
The Malmo University Master’s Scholarship (MUMS) is open for students who are from outside the EEA or Switzerland countries, have enrolled for a Master’s programme at the University through University admissions portal, and have given the foremost preference to a programme at the Malmo University in their admission application. The scholarship presented by the Malmo University covers about 75-100% of the tuition fees.
Mid Sweden University
The Mid Sweden University offers scholarships to the outstanding students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, in the form of reduction in tuition fee, depending upon the course of study.
Orebro University
The Orebro University Scholarship programme is for outstanding students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, who have to mandatorily pay the tuition fees. The scholarship covers tuition fees either partly or wholly.
Skovde University
The University of Skovde awards scholarships to pupils who are accepted to a master’s programme at the University and who are required to shell out the tuition fees. The scholarships awarded by the Skovde University covers the tuition fee. A tuition fee waiver of SEK 25-000-31,250 per semester is being provided to the students.
Stockholm University
The Stockholm University Scholarship programme is for qualified students from outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland, accepted to a Master programme and who have to pay the tuition fees. The scholarships awarded by the Stockholm University cover a certain part of the tuition fees.
Umea University
The Umea University awards scholarships to top academic students from outside the EU/EEA countries who have applied for a Master’s degree course at the University and who have put the Umea University at the first place while applying through University Admissions. Scholarship provides a reduction in tuition fee either partially or fully.
Uppsala University
The Uppsala University offers many scholarships to international students accepted to the Master’s programme at the University. The scholarships provide covers the tuition fees.
